Stacy Ann Ferguson, better known as Fergie is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She took the name Fergie back after joining the entertainment industry, like her father and grandfather, who had the same nickname. She was born on March 27, 1995, in Hacienda Heights, California, United States to parents Theresa Ann and Jon Patrick Ferguson, of mixed ancestry (Irish, Scottish, English and Mexican). She has only one sister; Dana Ferguson and is a Christian by Catholic standards. Fergie attended Mesa Robles Middle School and Glen A Wilson High School.

From the third album, their label got fed up and refused to release it, which caused Fergie to leave the band in search of better options in 2001.
The blonde bombshell as she has often been portrayed, soon found a home with the Black Eyed Peas who, at the time, were looking to fill the void created by the departure of their background singer Kim Hill. Her merger with the group was very good, it revived their style to the surprise of their fans and thus, Fergie became a permanent member. In 2006, Fergie was ready to blow as a solo artist.
