Kevin Robert McNally is an English actor and writer who is well known for his role as Joshamee Gibbs in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.

McNally began his acting career at an early age, joining the Birmingham Repertory Theatre at age 16.

He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where he won the Best Actor Bancroft Gold Medal in 1995.

McNally got his first film debut in the 1977 James Bond spy film The Spy Who Loved Me.

After being a regular in the second series of Poldark playing Drake Carne, younger brother of Demelza Poldark, McNally wrote nine episodes of Minder, a British comedy-drama series about the London criminal underworld.
